Pamela Shilling

Pamela Shilling

Pamela Shilling has served Malta House in many roles and brings an unwavering commitment to its mission of supporting vulnerable women and their children. She began her journey with Malta House as a volunteer, later serving as Spiritual Director and Chaplain, where she gained a deep understanding of the lives and struggles of mothers facing homelessness. Pamela currently serves as Board Chair and has stepped in as Interim Executive Director, offering both leadership and continuity.

Pamela brings professional experience from both the corporate and nonprofit sectors. She spent a decade at GE in Retail Financial Services and completed the company’s prestigious Financial Management Program. She later served as Vice President of Artisan House, a company renowned for its metal art and sculpture.

In addition to her leadership at Malta House, Pamela offers spiritual direction and leads the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius at the Yale Divinity School and Fairfield University’s Murphy Center for Ignatian Spirituality. She has served as a hospital chaplain, kindergarten teacher, and preschool educator.

Pamela holds a B.S. in Business Logistics from Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Sacred Heart University. She has three certifications in Spiritual Direction from Fairfield University and training in Clinical Pastoral Education. She is a member of the Order of Malta.
