Hope is one of Jo’s favorite words. As Malta House’s volunteer engagement coordinator, she is proud to connect members of our community with opportunities to help provide moms and their babies a nurturing home environment, support services and independent living skills – in a word, hope.

Jo's experience working in the nonprofit world, and specifically with vulnerable populations, includes supporting the economically disadvantaged, individuals with disabilities and illnesses, and the elderly. She has managed volunteers and and also served as a volunteer for nonprofit organizations including Person to Person, Waveny LifeCare Network/Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County, and the Connecticut Chapter of Achilles International. While Director of Development at Achilles, Jo successfully secured donors, partnerships and grants.

At Malta House, Jo's purview also includes managing the Malta House website and social media program and creating marketing collateral in support of our development initiatives. She draws on rich experiences from many years working in corporate marketing, communications and website development to help cast a light on Malta House's mission and celebrate our successes.

A resident of Norwalk since the mid-1990s, in her free time Jo enjoys running, gardening and cooking flavorful and nutritious meals.
