Jo Bennett

Hope is one of Jo’s favorite words. As Malta House’s volunteer engagement coordinator, she is excited to help connect members of our community with opportunities to help provide moms and their babies a nurturing home environment, support services and independent living skills – in a word, hope.

Jo has worked as a manager of volunteers and as a volunteer herself for nonprofit organizations including Person to Person, Waveny LifeCare Network and the Connecticut Chapter of Achilles International. She also worked on developing the volunteer program at RVNAhealth, a not-for-profit home health and hospice agency. Her experience working with vulnerable populations spans the economically disadvantaged, individuals with disabilities and illnesses, and the elderly.

In the corporate world she has led the recruitment marketing function at Pitney Bowes and served in various communications and marketing roles at Gartner.

A resident of Norwalk since the mid-1990s, in her free time Jo enjoys running, gardening and cooking flavorful and nutritious meals.
