Hope is one of Jo’s favorite words. As Malta House’s volunteer engagement coordinator, she is proud to connect members of our community with opportunities to help provide moms and their babies a nurturing home environment, support services and independent living skills – in a word, hope. In her role, Jo also manages the Malta House website and social media program and creates marketing collateral in support of our events.
Jo's experience working with vulnerable populations spans the economically disadvantaged, individuals with disabilities and illnesses, and the elderly. She has served as a manager of volunteers and as a volunteer herself for nonprofit organizations including Person to Person, Waveny LifeCare Network/Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County, and the Connecticut Chapter of Achilles International. She was also instrumental in developing the volunteer program at RVNAhealth, a not-for-profit home health and hospice agency.
In the corporate world, Jo has led the recruitment marketing function at Pitney Bowes, and at Gartner she served in several marketing, communications and website development roles.
A resident of Norwalk since the mid-1990s, in her free time Jo enjoys running, gardening and cooking flavorful and nutritious meals.
