Award Winning Christian Music Artist to Perform Benefit Concert in Fairfield for Malta House

BRIDGEPORT – Award winning contemporary Christian musician Mark Schultz will perform a benefit concert for Malta House at Fairfield University's Quick Center on March 15, 2024 at 7 pm to 9 pm. There will be a private Meet & Greet for sponsors from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. Tickets cost $50 for general seating and $30 for seniors, veterans and students and can be purchased at Mark Shultz ticket sales or by calling 203-254-4010.

Schultz has ten #1 hit singles and has sold over 2 million records over his 20-year career. Adopted at two weeks of age and raised by loving parents, Schultz has a passion for sharing his story and being a champion for others through his concerts. His performances are so much more than just concerts because Mark is an amazing storyteller with a heart of gold. They are inspiring, touching and engaging. Be prepared to laugh, cry, and most of all, have a memorable evening.

The Fairfield concert will benefit Malta House of Norwalk, which provides a home and hope to expectant mothers and babies of all faiths.  Young mothers come to Malta House when they are most vulnerable – unhoused, pregnant and lacking support and a positive environment.  It is the only program in CT where a mother can stay with her baby for long-term support as she journeys to independence.

“Mark Schulz’s music speaks of faith, family and home.  His songs will uplift and inspire all those who attend,” said Deacon Stephen Hodson of St. Francis Parish, who is helping to coordinate the concert, along with volunteers from Malta House, Saint Francis of Assisi, Saint Luke, St. Mary’s of Ridgefield and St. Theresa. “Mark has a remarkable life story that he shares powerfully in song.”

Mike O’Rourke and his wife A.C. raved about Mark’s performance last year: “I cannot say that I am a big fan of Christian music, but Mark’s songs were real, and easy on the ears. Most importantly, his stories got you engaged before you even heard the song. He is an exceptionally talented performer.”

Schultz will be playing new music along with his many hits, including “He’s My Son,” “I Am,” “Remember Me” and his hit single, “Everything to Me” which is about his life and gratitude to his birth mother. “I wanted to write a song for birth mothers, so that they could hear how grateful I am to my own birth mom and how she made the choice to give me life,” he said.

Schultz accolades include the Dove Award, Artist of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, and Album of the Year.  In 2007 Mark partnered with Family Christian Stores and the James Fund to help raise awareness and support for orphans by riding his bicycle from California to Maine, doing 14 concerts along the way and raising $250,000. “It was the single greatest thing that I’ve done in my career,” said Schultz, “It awoke a passion in me to share my story and be a champion for others.” That summer tour led to Schultz doing more than 200 benefit concerts for crisis pregnancy centers and adoption agencies across the country.
