Dear Friends of Malta House,

We have been long time supporters of Malta House since its founding in 1998.  Our shared belief that all human life is God-given, inherently sacred, and should be protected and respected at all times, is what draws us to the heart of Malta House, as well as the courageous mothers that call Malta House their home and their miraculous babies.

We began volunteering at Malta House when our own five children were quite young. We have enjoyed sponsoring diaper and baby supply drives through our children’s religious education classes and were committee members of the annual Malta House Gala.  Cece was Co-Chair of the Gala Silent Auction for a number of years.

As members of the CT Area of the Order of Malta, we have had the privilege of building friendships with many of the mothers at Malta House. Whether it be celebrating Christmas during Breakfast with Santa, sharing a meal at one of the Malta House Casual Dinners, or teaming up with the moms at Malta House to prepare 150 sandwiches that get donated to the hungry and homeless at Open Door Shelter, we have witnessed firsthand the positive impact that Malta House has had by offering life-giving and life-affirming alternatives to pregnant mothers who find themselves at risk with no place to live.

We are proud, enthusiastic supporters of Malta House and give witness to the fact that Malta House is NOT a homeless shelter or just a place to stay.  Malta House is a home: a safe and supportive environment that gives refuge to courageous, loving women who are empowered to overcome their circumstances and choose life by bringing beautiful, healthy babies into the world.
