Business Manager

The Business Manager is responsible for managing the financial (including all bookkeeping and audit preparation), human resources, and facilities aspects of Malta House, Inc.  He/she ensures that all human resources, financial materials, and reports are maintained accurately and presented in a timely manner for the Executive Director and the Board of Directors.

This position provides the Board and the ED with relevant financial data necessary for budgeting and financial decisions for the management of Malta House.  Performs human resource administrator duties in some or all of the following functional areas:  Payroll, benefits administration, recruitment, on-boarding/off-boarding, performance management and training.

This position requires a perceptive and confidential person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization.  The Business Manager must be sensitive to the residents, staff, volunteers and the needs of Malta House.


  • Candidates must have a college degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • A minimum 5 years experience in business operations, finance and office management.
  • Experience with QuickBooks and payroll systems.
