On Tuesday, March 19th, the St. Theresa Knights of Columbus Council #8013 will host a sneak preview event to promote the national release of “Unplanned” at The Klein Memorial Auditorium in Bridgeport.
The Knights of Columbus Council #8013 from St. Theresa’s came up with the idea for the pre-screening after watching a trailer for the movie on the way home from the March for Life. The proceeds from the pre-screening fundraising event will be used to purchase tickets for the national premiere week of the film.
Theater buyouts are the goal, and the group is motivated to make the event one of the biggest pro-life events in the history of the state.
A mini-pro-life rally will precede the special pre-screening where Carey Dougherty, newly appointed Executive Director of Malta House, will speak in addition to representatives from the Bridgeport Diocese, the Knights of Columbus and the Hopeline Pregnancy Resource Center. Says Dougherty, “We are committed to showing each mother who comes to us that, although her pregnancy may have been unplanned, her future is not without hope. We walk with each woman who chooses life for her unborn, extending a helping hand to guide her to a future of purpose and dignity.”
Taking part in the pre-screening fundraising event will not only raise the funds so many people in the Diocese of Bridgeport have the chance to see it, but also to bring together those who work every day tirelessly in their parishes, ministries, missions, volunteering, and prayers to build a culture of life in the community.
Tickets can be purchased directly from The Klein Memorial Auditorium.
We hope to see you there!
